ONE OF A KIND, ART TO WEAR, HAND-MADE BATIK, COUTOUR, ELEGANT MAUI STORY JACKETS
The Essence of my artistic inspiration is a reflection of the pulse of Energies and Story lines flowing continually in and through our island home. I prepare myself with PULE - Prayer - each time I sit to paint. Simply allowing the energies to flow through my heart and hands to you who are to be blessed with the glimpse of peace and beauty, strength and praise. ~ Sarai
The artist Sarai lives a life of passion for things Hawaiian.
She is supporting the Eddie Aikau Foundation, the Hawaiian Language Immersion School, the MalibuMission and the building and perpetuation of a new Maui Voyaging Canoe, the Mookiha O Piilani.
Please come and enjoy an enriching delightful evening with us. We will be joined by Honorary Crew Member of the Hokule’a (Star of Gladness), Steersman Kiki Hugho. Also, joining us is renowned Hawaiian Historian, Keaumiki Akui, who will share the mysteries and healing energy of our beloved Hawaii.
In the loving memory of Eddie Aikau, artist Sarai has been invited to share her visionary-dream story in the upcoming movie that Brother Kiki promised his best friend on the canoe, Eddie, that whoever survived would tell the true story.
Kiki and Keaumiki are the pillars of this enlightening and historical undertaking.
We thank everybody in Moku O Honu (Turtle Island, the Hawaiian name for the Mainland) for allowing us to be here, and especially to our dear friend, Kathy Escobar, for sharing her hometown of Malibu with us.
